am deeply disappointed with the system and management of UST Legazpi. There is a clear issue with favoritism and inconsistent implementation of policies. For example, students without cars are strictly required to present IDs and wear proper uniforms or they are denied entry. However, some students who arrive in cars are allowed to enter even without IDs or complete uniforms. Policies should apply equally to everyone, regardless of status. Another major concern is the payment system. It is already 2026, yet there is still no proper online payment option for tuition. For a university that claims to uphold excellence, the system feels outdated and inconvenient for students. Additionally, many classes are marked “TBA,” and professors frequently fail to inform students whether they will be holding class or not. This results in wasted time, money, and effort—especially for students who commute. Tuition is paid responsibly, yet students are left adjusting constantly due to lack of proper communication. Students deserve fairness, transparency, and professionalism. I hope the administration addresses these concerns seriously and improves the system for everyone.

This is a prestigious university in the Bicol region... state-of-the-art facilities, wonderful catholic community of teaching and non-teaching personnel, good and clean environment that values nature, well-designed programs, well-equipped teachers and professors... and a real nurturing community of Dominican learning. Invest your education here. P.s. The view with Mt. Mayos is a bonus!

THE GOOD: - The education standards are high. Most students are advanced compared to their public school peers. - Tuition is manageable, although higher than most private grade schools. - The university is prestigious, especially in Bicol. - My children are preparing for college entry, at a young age. If they want to attend a college, UST is a great option. - The university was founded on traditional Catholic values. THE BAD: - They don't cut their grass and trim their weeds enough. It makes the campus look bad, some days. - There are sometimes too many pointless activities that students can't refuse. I don't feel that a school should require children to sing and dance for grades. - Parents must pay for EVERY activity, whether they want their children involved or not. I've paid for many costumes that my children will never use again, for example. - They're still trying to figure out how to discipline disruptive students. They recently released their student handbooks to reflect a shift in disciplinary standards. - Children have little time in the week to relax because they're often overlooked with schoolwork and extra activities. - Girls aren't allowed to compete in some competitive sports, such as basketball and soccer. I don't feel that it's fair. - They're behind, technologically. Students should have the latest technology inside of their classrooms, such as tablets and computers, instead of going to a small lab. - Children are lagging in computer skills. Most of the students can't create a simple PowerPoint presentation. OVERALL: UST is a decent university/gradeschool that needs a few improvements, such as better grounds keeping and a better focus on technical skills.

A popular school when you belong to Region 5. Known as Aquinas University before.

I was a student here before 6 years ago. Most of the students and staff here are very pleasant. However, what I didn't like is the negative feedback of some of the staff there especially the registrar and some of the sisters there. If you can't pay your tuition on time, they'll often say I shouldn't have enrolled in the school in the first place if I can't pay my tuition on time. Well, they have a point but they didn't understand what's it like to be financially struggling as a student. I don't know if it is still the same now, I hope not.
