I am currently a second-year Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) student at PATTS College of Aeronautics, and I am deeply concerned about the current state of education in our program. Most of the facilities we use are old and outdated, and much of what we are taught focuses only on theory, with very limited hands-on training. Some instructors appear unmotivated or inconsistent, and in some cases, they do not conduct proper lessons, activities, or exams, yet still provide grades to students. We pay ₱5,000 per subject, and despite this, there is very little to no learning being acquired from certain classes. In our shop work, the main focus is often on creating handcrafted mock-up engines or aircraft parts — activities that do not fully align with what AMT students should be learning. We should be developing our skills in identifying, inspecting, and understanding real aircraft components, not merely crafting models that have limited relevance to real-world maintenance tasks. This situation is unacceptable, especially for students like us who pay ₱100,000 or more per year with the expectation of receiving a quality education. It feels like a clear injustice, and even a form of misuse or neglect of educational responsibility. We deserve transparency, accountability, and most importantly, the education we are paying for. I am not afraid of receiving a bad grade for speaking the truth — what matters most is that our education is worth the effort and the cost. I stand for what is fair, and I believe all students deserve proper learning, proper training, and respect for their hard-earned tuition. #walangctivities, examorassperomaygrade #worstaviationschool #nasaanangnumber1aviationschool #anona?

★★★★★(5 reviews)For all incoming college students seeking to enroll in an aviation school, this would be a warning for all of you ⚠️. You have to THINK before enrolling in this kind of school, otherwise, you’ll REGRET it later. If there is a ZERO star for this review, I’ll definitely give that kind of rating as a gesture of my frustration on this school! I live in the province of Pampanga and as a child, I am always fascinated with aviation. Whenever we go to MIA (Manila International AirPort) airport, now it’s NAIA, to have our aunts board their flights, I have always wanted to see how an airplane would fly in the sky. To cut it short, I wanted to be a pilot! That is all I dream of. When I got to college, my dad gave me 2 options, either I’ll go to PATTS or to the Airlink International Aviation School. I was with my dad when we toured both schools. To be honest, I was impressed with Airlink school since I saw one of their courses in their curriculum, BS in Civil Aviation, major in Flying. I felt excited! And then I got the chance to see their Cessna planes all lined up at the back of the school next to the runway and that’s pretty impressive! I kinda had a second thought of choosing the first school, but for some unknown reason, I chose PATTS thinking that it would be my stepping stone to reach my goal of becoming a pilot. But, I was wrong and I definitely made the WRONG choice! When I was enrolled in this school, my dad decided to work abroad again to support our family and our education as well. I studied hard because I do not want to fail my dad with my ambition. Unfortunately, my years of studying in PATTS has been very difficult for me. It was a horrible experience. First of all, the people in the registrars and in the admin department are not accommodating and are unapproachable. They are cranky at times even if you ask them simple queries. Secondly, I have these 2 terrible instructors, Mr. Lerios and Mr. Borja, who deliberately flunked me in one of their subjects because they made an error in their grading system. Under Mr. Lerios class, we were only 3 out of around 35 students who passed the preliminary and midterm exams. Half of the students failed the final exams, and I was surprised at the end when he gave me an INC grade. I was very upset as soon as I saw my grade and I thought to myself, did he really review the students grades before finalizing them on the report card. My answer to that is, perhaps, he didn’t, and I am 100 percent certain. Though, I was given a certain time to complete the subject, I did not try to complete it out of my pride and principle. So, I flunked the very first time and I have to take it again. With regard to Mr. Borja’s class, I really got good grades, but, he literally was a guesser of grades. During the final days of his class, he interchangeably placed a failing grade on me instead of giving it to the other student. For the sake of this review, that student and I last names starts with the same first two letters, but Mr. Borja doesn’t really care about it once everything was finalized in the report card. Again, I flunked on his subject. Lastly, for those of you who would be interested in reading this review, PATTS used to be named PATS. I was in my freshman year when I had this instructor who asked us, what is the meaning of PATS? Some of us answered, “Philippine Aeronautical Training School”. And yes, they were right. But the thing that bothered me is when our instructor told us that, P-A-T-S stands for, “Pera ang Tanging Solution”. I was dumbfounded when I heard my teacher said that. Later on, it proved that that teacher was absolutely right. Despite the hardship and experience that I had throughout all those years in this school, I was able to graduate in the year 1994, and I have decided to take another course that is not related to aviation.
One of the best Aviation School in the world & also in Philippines. PATTS is reputedly the country’s number one Aeronautical College today. It’s started operations in 1969. Its primary aim was to establish a manufacturing and assembly plant for trainer aircrafts, which at the time of its founding was a new and pioneering objective as envisioned by its five founding directors. Its secondary aim was to put up an Aeronautical School to meet the domestic and international demands in the fields of aviation and air transportation industry.
Worst University ever!!!!! My son graduated last February 2025 and up to now, May 2025, more than one year past and still his diploma is not yet released. The feeling of a mom who is working hard for their education and the relaxation of this school how things are going on is very disappointing. To anyone who is planning to send ur child to this university, please think 100 times
Graduated September 2023. I still haven’t gotten my diploma and transcripts to be able to take my CAAP exam. Registrar and Admin will only keep stalling by telling lies, because they don’t want to give an actual reason.
