My younger brother wanted to go back to school - he had to stop and take a break for almost two years due to our family's financial hardships. When applying for enrolment this Monday, February 2, the University registrar had advised my brother that "not to be descriminatory" (though it screams discrimination from all sides lol), he might not be able to board a ship after graduation and training as he will already be almost 26 years old come that point. The school's registrar then asked that my brother submit an affidavit stating that he has a "backer" that will be able to guarantee his employment in the future and that he will not hold the school liable if ever he does not get to be a seafarer. Posting this here for the utmost absurdity of it and as we are absolutely finding this beyond exhasperating. FFS! OUR FAMILY JUST WANTED MY BROTHER TO FINISH SCHOOL AND GET A DEGREE!

Most major subjects are not properly taught some professors simply tell students to “just research it” or watch YouTube instead of giving proper lessons or support. On the other hand, minor subjects are full of activities that are not even essential to our course. They often feel like a waste of time and only add to the workload without contributing to our learning as future marine engineers. It feels like this school focuses more on minor subjects than on the major ones. Some professors even show up only when midterms are near, leaving students without proper guidance for most of the semester. Money seems to be the only matters to them. Some professors are not good—they're always absent, and the activities are always online. The application used for the activities is Microsoft Teams, but it's not reliable. Sometimes I can’t log in, and when I try to turn in my activities, the app bugs or crashes, and my work doesn’t get submitted. When I explained this, the head of ITDO said it’s not a valid reason and told me I still needed to pay for all of my activities.
A very good institution especilly when it comes for MARITIME PROGRAMS that helps the students builds what their future holds. You can always visit in this instution that has a safe environment with cadets good attitude in serving and training seamanship
False advertisement about their discount. My brother enrolled today as a transferee, and he has all the requirements needed but when they went there, wala naman daw discount. Other parents/guardians complained about the same thing. So disappointing since my uncle graduated from this school.
The school were one of a kind. In terms of trainings and standards I could really say that their products have the KUP's of the Maritime Industry .
